Our Experts
The experts at the National University Golf Academy possess a wide range of personal and professional experience and are available to media for on-camera, radio, print and online interviews.
Dr. Charles “Mac” Powell, is a Class “A” member of the Professional Golfer’s Association and is the Dean of the National University Golf Academy. Ted Norby, a former professional golfer who has been an instructor for more than 18 years, serves as the Academy’s Director of Instruction for the Carlsbad campus. Dr. Sarah Castillo is an AASP-certified sport psychology consultant and former sport consultant at West Point, and she directs the sport psychology program at National University. Mike Springer is a two-time PGA Tour Champion and is the Director of Instruction for the National University Golf Academy's Fresno campus. Mike has over 17 years of professional playing experience and collected more than $3 million in PGA Tour earnings. Dr. David Wurzer, Associate Dean of the National University Golf Academy, is a PGA Master Professional, a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Coach, and a pioneer in utilizing technology in instruction.
