The National University Golf Academy hosts a series of free sport psychology labs for high school coaches and athletes at the University’s Spectrum and Carlsbad campuses.
The labs are designed to introduce the mental skills necessary for elite athletic performance and to provide techniques to assist high school coaches and athletes in achieving their performance goals. Participants learn valuable tools for athletic performance, including visualization, goal setting and team dynamics. The labs offer lectures and practical exercises, as well as the opportunity to develop a performance project to assist athletic and coaching excellence.
The labs are directed by Dr. Sarah Castillo, who worked extensively with over 15 intercollegiate, intramural and club athletic teams during her nine years as a sport psychology consultant at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
